SALE Overstock Items

Sometimes things go sideways and we end up with too much of something that we don’t normally carry, or we have leftovers from a special order. Sending things back to the distributor is kind of onerous and expensive, I’d rather pass on a deal and make our leftovers your score.

You’ll automatically receive 20% off these overstocked yarns at check-out (applies to online and in-store purchases). This discount only applies to the limited quantities that are presently in-stock, and does apply to special orders, pre-orders, or future purchases. We only have the colours listed on the website available for sale, but if you want us to get you another colour of the same product just drop us a line and we can arrange that as a special-order.

I’ve also reorganized the SALE button on our main website, so you can browse for products by type, including the Overstock, any time you so desire.

Berroco Medina (colour 4780 Timgad)

The first item on the block is Berroco Medina (colour 4780 Timgad). If you or someone you know likes warm colours, this beautiful summer yarn is for You! Colours ebb and flow in a long long-colour repeat – its like Missoni when they don’t do stripes. Medina is ideal for summer garments and accessories, bags, blankets. It crochet’s BEAUTIFULLY, which is something you can’t say for many multi-coloured yarns (they pool & stuff, it bugs me). Medina works so well as crochet that the company made a small collection of just crochet. It works up well on it’s own, but is also amazing for colourwork, especially slip stitch colourwork like the Shift series by Andrea Mowry. I used Medina for my Mrs Watson summer shawl.

Medina is DK weight (3.75mm to 4mm needles or hook), and is made from a machine washable blend of cotton, viscose, and acrylic. It also has really good yardage at 270m (295yds) per 100g ball, which also makes it lighter than a regular cotton or blend (usually around 200m or less).

  • 37% Cotton, 36% Acrylic, 27% Viscose
  • 100g/270m (295yds)
  • 4mm/US6 needles
  • 22 stitches & 28 rows = 4″ (10cm)
  • DK-Weight
  • Machine wash separately in cold water on delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry. Due to the print effect, some dye may release during washing and drying.

This simple tank by pinkngreen says it all for me … drop the mic.

Berrooco Mantra (colour 4402 Cream)

I feel like this isn’t going to be a hard sell … we have several bags of of this cream coloured, 100% silk, DK weight yarn. Mantra soft and has a bit of texture, but not enough to be distracting (it’s made from the matte type of silk, not the shiny kind). It’s comfortable, easy to work with, easy to wear and a very neutral colour. You can make garments, accessories, blankets, etc. Mantra is NOT machine washable, so not an ideal choice for babies or kids.

  • 100% Silk
  • 50g/167m (182yds)
  • 4mm/US6 needles
  • 22 stitches & 30 rows = 4″ (10cm)
  • DK-Weight
  • Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry. Dry clean when using contrasting colors.

Agra

I really like the texture built into this pattern – the eyelet rib really makes it interesting (and vertical never hurt anyone). Agra is worked from the bottom up and seamed. See the top in motion in Video

Marsh is a freebie from Berroco, and what a top! It’s pretty in the front, and them BAM, gorgeous lace on the entire back, like a massive tattoo that you can wear whenever you want. If you love the design but prefer a sweater check out Mallow.

Orchid Blossom

For those of you who are weavers (or just have a rigid heddle loom), Berroco Sesame Weaves beautifully. This FREE Pattern uses 2 balls (1 in each colour). This project is actually the reason why I ended up with overstock in this yarn – after I saw it I wanted to learn how to weave (still working on that, my friend’s loom is on my desk).

Marlow

5 to 6 balls of Berroco Sesame makes you this gorgeous poncho for next end of summer/fall (great for outdoor dinning). Marlow is knit in garter stitch on the bias with fully fashioned neck shaping (I’m not actually sure what that means, I think the neckline folds over, you can see HERE).

  • Finished Measurements: (22, 25)” / (56, 63.5) cm wide x (25, 28)” / (63.5, 71) cm long

Sea Lough

I feel like this FREE Pattern is going to have me special ordering a lot of the colourway in the picture (7418 Orchid), but I love the Missoniesque quality and interesting construction, and I’m always happy to try and make your dreams come true. Sea Lough is worked in one piece from the lower front edge to the lower back edge with stitches cast on, then bound off for sleeves.
