Freia Handpaints Ombre Lace has a rustic aesthetic, soft hand, is lofty, and retains nice stitch definition. It is a blend of 75% Colorado wool blend spun with 25% nylon for added strength. It is superwash but hand washing is recommend for longevity. To achieve the long colour runs in the Ombré yarns, the people at KnitWhits/Freia have developed their very own dyeing process. Though labour intensive, the hands-on nature of the process allows them to ensure an even consistency in the yarn and colours over multiple dye lots. This method also means that the yarns will match well from one dye lot to the next (although no two balls of hand painted yarn can ever be the same). Hand Painted in the US, with fibre sourced from the US.
