Spring is upon us, and with spring cleaning comes spring organizing! As you sort through your stuff and ponder what does and does not spark joy, your might decide to tackle organizing your needles.

I’m a multi-case girl myself – I’ve never found a single product that managed all of my needle needs. Each type of needle gets its own case, and the cases all live together in harmony in a basket. My main concern about needle storage is that the cases are either beautiful but too expensive (and/or not very practical), or they are too cheap and really unattractive. Knitter’s Pride seems to have finally found a sweet-spot in the middle and has come out with some cases that tick all the boxes: they’re easy on the eyes, affordable, and do what they are supposed to – store and organize needles. The only way Ikea could do better was if your case came with a bag Scandinavian candies and a quirky Swede-like name.

SPECIAL PRE-ORDERS

Since it’s always hard to know how many of what to order, we’re offering them as special pre-orders. We aren’t stocking them in the store on a regular basis, but you have the option to order them at any time (your order will be available to purchase as long as the manufacturer makes it available to us). Your order will ship or be available for pick-up once it arrives, and we will contact you. If you need it for a specific date please let us know and we can find out if it’s feasible. 

Knitters Pride Double Pointed Needle Cases

This compactly sized double point needle case was designed to store up to 16 sets of DP needles (5 per size). Created to fit neatly in your tote or project bag, this zippered case, with its suede-like lining and elastic bands, keeps everything in place. Knitters Pride Pattern Holders

An important tool with for those knitters who love to keep track of their knitting. For those who don’t know about DellaQ’s circular needle cases, let’s just say they rock, and “The Que” circular needle case is one of our longstanding favourites (actually, it’s the best solution we’ve found so far)! It includes twelve numbered pockets. Did you catch that? Numbered. For those who need directions, put the size 6 needle in the size 6 pocket. You can even store more than one set in each pocket. The security flap on each pocket can be folded over the top or tucked in like an envelope. Includes a small zip pocket behind the sixth pocket for storing notions or an emergency piece of chocolate. Haven’t made the decision yet whether you like straights, circulars or double points? Maybe you like them all and want them in one case. This tri-fold case includes nine pockets in the centre for circulars. The outer flaps hold 18 straights and/or double points. We know this is a common design, but our case holds more than most cases and it is far prettier! The case is tall enough for those needles that insist on being a bit too tall to fit in any other case. There are no numbers like many of our other cases so you’ll need to be a little bit organized or keep a needle gauge in the case. Oh, right, there is also a zip pocket for stitch markers or a piece of chocolate. Fold it up and tie it in a bow (refer to your mother for bow tying instructions).

She’s a caddy and not a shoulder bag. Don’t try to throw her over your shoulder, she prefers to swing next to you. DellaQ threw this bag in a front loading washing machine and let it air dry. It looks fantastic! It is a bit softer, but it is still stiff enough to stand up.
