Lovenote
I made a spring/autumn Lovenote in the spring of 2020 and I liked it so much I decided to make another summer version with one of my favourite summer yarns, Quince & Co Kestrel (ON SALE to SEPT 6). I let this project languish half-finished all winter, and it’s definitely a regret because it ended up turning out so well. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear that it’s joined the ranks of my favourite store sweaters. I pop it on over a cami and summer pants and it’s my uniform. I wouldn’t mind another, super cropped version to wear over dresses, but I’ll let you guys have first pick of the colours.

Notes
- We made a size Adult XS (38.5″ bust). Before blocking it measured 36″ at the bust, and after blocking it was 40″. See our project notes HERE.
- Linen is VERY stretchy, consider going down one or two sizes (we went down one and we could have easily gown down another)
- Linen is softens up and loosens up COMPLETELY in the wash. It has zero structure and drapes gorgeously.
- Quince & Co Kestrel is machine washable: machine wash on cold in a delicate bag. Machine dry on cool in delicate bag. Lay flat to dry if still damp.
- If you don’t already have the needles, Interchangeable needles are a great option for projects like this one that are knit in the round and require a bunch of different needle lengths. The only hitch is that to make a 16″ length needle you’ll need the shorter 3.5″ to 4″ tips.
