The new Fall 2018 issue of Knit.Wear has arrived and is available in-store and online. Note: that this is a special, issue and includes all the content, including articles as well as the patterns (if you buy a copy in the drug store/grocery store you only get the patterns, no articles).
“The best knitting patterns are the ones that catch you off guard. There is nothing we love more than being surprised by a design element or technique that teaches or shows you something I didn’t expect. Even simple designs can feature elements that make you look a little closer, and that’s what this Winter 2018 issue of knitsceneis all about. This collection contains 20 gorgeous and oh-so-knittable projects that will make you do a double take.”
“Be surprised by unique design elements in the ‘Curiosities’ collection. Knit 5 quick, bulky-gauged projects in our ‘Chunky’ story. In the ‘Neck & Shoulders’ collection you can knit cold weather sweaters that highlight those parts of the body. Plus, learn how to make different types of arm-holes work for your body in this issues technical article by Lisa Shroyer.”
“Give loads of cheer this year with 25 patterns for accessories and toys for new winter traditions. Enjoy 21 accessories in the ‘Modern Scandinavian’ story that showcase a sharp and fresh aesthetic, trendy and innovative designs, and wearability for new winter traditions. Cuddle up with 4 adorable creatures with a collection of huggable knitted toys by Brenda K. B. Anderson. Create the perfect gift for everyone on your list with knitting patterns for hats, scarves, mittens and more!”
“Get a tutorial on how to embroider your own felted ornaments to help embellishing your tree, windows, or doorknobs this season. Learn how to darn a worn Christmas stocking (or any knitted fabric) with master Jennifer Raymond. Finally, read an essay about a knitter’s ambivalence over gifting knits and why they’re not for just anyone.”

Find poetry in stitches with Interweave Knits Summer 2017. We chose two of William Shakespeare’s most famous comedies—A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night—to inspire our readers and contributors. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is an ethereal, feminine collection of lace shawls and tops for the high days of summer. Twelfth Night, much like the play, turns reality on its head; this all-season collection includes women’s wear inspired by menswear, and menswear for good measure.
